Apocalyptica
Apocalyptica is a musical band which came into music scenario from the year 1993. It originates basically from Finland. It is considered as a Metallica Tribute band. The genre on which the band works on is classical, neo-classical, alternative metal, progressive metal and hard rock and henceforth. The band also integrates world music and folk melodies in their creations. In the year 1996, the band released their first album namely “Plays Metallica by Four Cellos”. In the year 1998, the second studio album named “Inquisition Symphony” was released by the band. In 2000, the band Apocalyptica released their third album titled “Cult” which includes 10 songs along with 3 covers.
After releasing their third album, their own track with vocals named “Path Vol. 2” was released. In the year 2003, the band released their fourth album “Reflections” that has more experimental sound than previous two albums. In the year 2005, they released their 5th studio album named “Apocalyptica”. The band also recorded the song for “Bullet For My Valentine” in the same year. In 2007, Apocalyptica released sixth album titled “Worlds Collide”. The single “I’m Not Jesus” from their sixth album “Worlds Collide” ranked within number 10 in the charts of active rock as well as alternative rock.
In the late 2007, the band organized a tour which continued to the mid of the year 2008. In the month of June of the year 2008, in “the Rock in Rio concert” in Lisbon, Apocalyptica united with the Greenpeace "energy revolution campaign" and performed the 5th Symphony of Beethoven. In the same year the band first performed in American television with a rocking performance of “I Don’t Care”. In the year 2010 the band released their next album named “7th Symphony”. In the year 2011, the band Apocalyptica carried out a live concert with Metallica on three songs, "No Leaf Clover", "One" as well as "Seek & Destroy" for celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Metallica. There are several band members who disbanded with the group and some are there who are there with the band and to perform live concerts and produce music albums. There are guest members who at times performed with the band Apocalyptica.
