“Used” Memories of “The Used”
American bands are well-known in rock music industry one of them is a band called “The Used”. It was originated in Orem, a city in U.S.A. in January 2001 with the name just “Used” but in 2002 it was revealed that there was another band formed with the same name, then they decided to change the name of band by adding word “The” before existing band name & made it “The Used”. Branden Steineckert, Quinn Allman and Jeph Howard were the pioneers of the band. Emo, Sreamo, Post-hardcore, alternative rock, pop-punk, punk rock, hard-rock, alternative metal and metalcore are the songs genres under which The Used are performing.
In initial days of the band they has to suffer lots of hindrances in development as there are to lyricist to write songs for them or vocalist to provide voice for singing songs. They approached to Bert McCracken who was enthralled about the music compositions made by The Used and wrote lyrics called “Maybe Memories”. Meanwhile they also composed & recorded their demo album which was later sent to John Feldmann for production. With the increasing popularity of their compositions they decided to sign a Reprise Records a reputed music label in 2001.
The Used band banged the music industry with their first debut album with own band name only. This album was produced by John Feldmann & released as a unique self-titled album in late June 2002. But listeners gave mixed response for this composition. Later in mid-2003 the band came with a combo of CD/DVD called “Maybe Memories” where a CD containing the recorded live shows and performances with unreleased tracks, demo tracks etc. and DVD contains all Audio-Video regarding history of the band & part of live performances.
In year 2004, the band met with bad incidence, an ex-girlfriend of McCracken was passed away due to overdose of drugs. With the memories of her the band came with their second album called “In Love and Death”. This album was a tribute & dedicated to her. This album was received good responses from audiences. Apart from this they released their next compositions in 2005 with names “I Caught Fire” & “Under Pressure”. After releasing these albums they decided to move for international tours for performing live shows.
Again in late 2006 The Used was experienced bad incidence with the breakup of partnership with Steineckert and acquired another member as a drummer his name was Dan Whitesides. In early 2007 the band was released a live double-album called “Berth” in a dual CD/DVD form. This album was remarkably got popular among audiences and banged gold certification. After the success this album they came with other compositions like “Taste of Chaos” and “Lies for the Liers”. The songs from this album also topped on music charts. Album called “Artwork”, the fourth independent album of The Used Band was released in 2008. This was the only composition of the band in that year. In year 2009 till April 2010 the band got tied up with several international tours for live performances. They also breached a decade of contract with the label Reprise Records and formed their own label with name “Dental records”. “Vulnerable” was a recent composition by The Used released in February 2012 under this independent lable.
